Can "machine doubling" be identical on two or more coins?

I am not an expert on how "machine" or "shelf" doubling occurs, and therefore, I don't know if it is specific to one example of a date/type or if multiple examples could be identical.

Can the experts here in this area educate me please? Thanks in advance.

i think the short answer is; yes
machine doubling can be virtually identical to a previously struck coin.
