Great story!

Ok, this is a funny story that I have to share......I've been buying some unopened stuff recently from seeing all the great pack/cello/box breaks on these boards. The problem is when I get the stuff I just end up putting it away. I've started grading some of it as I am just not emotionally equipped to bust the stuff. Well, I bought a 1979 Topps football cello from the boards about 6 or 7 months ago. It was only $17 shipped so I figured what the heck. I got the cello in the mail and when I opened it the back top flap was opened. The cello was fine, but I was kind of wondering why the seller didn't disclose that the cello was loose. As it turned out I didn't really think anything about it and put it away. Now since I started getting some of the packs and cellos graded I realized this 79 cello was a lost puppy. It sat alone in a box and was forgotten.

Fastforward to last week. I was sitting home with my year old daughter, (she was asleep on the floor) as the wife and two boys were out shopping or something. There was nothing on T.V. and I really couldn't go out to the garage and tinker or really do anything productive but watch my kid sleep. I remembered the cello upstairs and decided to rip it! Usually I will call my brother or a fellow buddy who collects and bust it while on the phone. I figured why bother as I never really got anything good from busting. Oh, except I did bust a box of 2009 Topps Magic football I bought last summer from Wal-Mart for $11 and pulled an Adrian Peterson auto. Sold that bad boy for $254 on the Bay. But that was my only score from recent memory. Well, back to the cello. I brought it down and ripped it........and here we go...

I was really stoked! So the moral of the story.......bust them boys! While you still can. Thanks for the read and happy collecting!
