What's your favorite unslabbable item in your collection?

As a '51 Bowman collector, this would have to be mine. It's a 4 card (mostly) strip of '51 Bowman scrap. The cool part is it features Ted Williams as well as Nellie Fox (his RC!) It's double printed (both sides have front and back printed on it) so you get 8 players on 4 cards. What do you guys have?

Now ya tell me...I didn't scroll down on the opening post, and deleted all my ebay pics. And it wasn't easy changing the text and trying to figure out the "useful life expectancy" of a baseball card.

My favorite unslabbable item is a 1960 Post Mantle with Mantle's autograph on the back. I took it to the National this year and went to PSA booth. They said it was too big to slab. I then went to the SGC booth, and they said the same thing, even though they had slabbed one in the past. They said mine was cut bigger and wouldn't fit into one of their holders. So, I settled for having the autograph on the back authenticated by JSA. Wish it was slabbed, however. Don't have a scan since it's in my bank lockbox.

Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.

I despise the Yankees, but that Knickerbocker beer piece is pure greatness. Nice item.

This is my panoramic photo from the 1909 World Series between the Tigers and Pirates. The center caption says "Cobb at bat, Crawford (Sam) on deck, Jennings (Hugh) coaching. Three HOF'ers with Honus Wagner on the field. I don't remeber the measurements but it is about 18" x 36". It is just a really sharp item.
    Thanks,
    Bob

  • Great thread. I have nothing that can match what is up so far. The Knickerbocker items and the 1967(?) attached stickers are my favorites so far. - Kevin M.
