what do you think of this 1953 Jackie Robinson PSA 7

I have always wanted to upgrade my PSA 6 and get a 7. The last 7 sold for $1250. So the price caught my eye.

Does this look like a 7 to you guys?

    It looks like a '7' to me, however, I am not seeing where the last one sold for $1,250. VCP average is $800. I would think an offer between the two numbers should get it.

    If the '1460' and the '52' bidder don't bump heads, the card sells for $850. I would think that would be a more realistic price than the $1,250.

    I am by far no expert on vintage. Personally I don't like the top left corner. It looks smashed pretty bad. If it is a 7 its a low end 7 IMO.

    That's a gorgeous card. I think the scan exaggerates the top left corner. Centering is great.

    I think it is a pretty solid PSA 7 especially for the 1953 set. Also, I agree it went a little high, but it was sold by Steve Novella, and for some reason he gets some pretty large coin for a lot of his cards.

    The seller is a member here.

    IMO that was a solid card for the grade.


    The one that sold for 1250.00 was sold by a dealer
    with a large following who also caters to some whales.

    Didn't think it would be anybody that posted a response, just somebody who saw the post maybe. I just wasn't quick enough to pull the trigger. I will get one someday. image
