Calling all Ike experts and others interested

Hello everyone can anyone tell me what is going on with this 1971-S Ike?

Thanks

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then question the manner in which I provide it. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!

To me, it looks like a Doubled Die combined with some machine doubling or perhaps some slight coin shift prior to the second strike.

Remember that the collector coins were struck twice.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

Kind of hard to tell from the pics, but looks like machine doubling. I have a few like this that look dramatic, but they are not really worth much.

Look to see if the doubling is rounded (hub) or shelf like (machine)

Looks like a doubled die to me. There are a lot of them, as well as some Master Die doubling that does not
bring a premium. Check to see if it matches the doubling of the one listed in Fivaz-Stanton.
