Former NHLer Pavol Demitra dies in plane crash.

He was currently playing in the professional (Russian) Kontinental Hockey league. He was a leading scorer for the St.Louis Blues for several seasons.

    There were quite a few NHL ties in that crash. What an absolute tragedy that really makes you think. I know our planes are quite a bit better than the puddle-jumpers they got, but something like this could happen to any team.

    Very sad news. I heard Brad McCrimmon an ex-Flyer was also on the plane.
