1929B Trade Dollar in MS63 Keep or Sell?

I've got a problem free 1929B trade dollar in PCGS MS63, just wanting opinions on whether to keep or sell. The market screams bubble to me, but I'd like to hear what others think.

EDIT: Here's the coin

I sold all of my trade dollars but one over the past year. The prices had fairly quickly gone out of sight and I no longer felt like buying to work on the collection at that point. I do think every British collection should have one representative piece though.
  • I still have mine, all three, and very likely to keep them! If you needed the money, go for it; otherwise, I think it's a good investment.

It depends on if you need the money, will make a big profit, or that you are speculating that this series is going to keep rising in price.

Sell if you have nothing in it.
Sell if it is at the price you paid.
Sell if you are taking a loss.

Basically, take advantage of the market.

I feel that once everything hits the fan, you will lose money if you hold onto it too long, considering that you bought it recently. Just remember to not be greedy and do not assume ANYTHING. No matter what I or anyone says. JMHO! Sit on it and you MAY lose more than you have invested.

With that said, I sold mine cheaply four years ago!image

I still say that you should sell at your comfort level.

I agree with your bubble concept.

That is what I ask myself every time I sell something!

Prices are high now. Like others said, if you need the money or won't miss the coin, I would sell.

    Nice.

Hey, if prices are still high, sell sell sell, unless it would cause some remorse later.

(I've found that obscene profits tend to wash away a LOT of seller remorse.) image

PS- Ladymarcovan was standing behind me just now when I typed that, reading over my shoulders, which she was massaging (aah), and she said, "Ooo, pretty."

There you have it- high praise indeed, from somebody who's not got a whole lot of interest in little round pieces of metal. (Well, maybe the tiniest show of interest, just to be polite.) I could tell she liked that. Speaking of spouses and coins, my ex-wife sold or gave away most of the jewelry I bought her after the divorce, but she kept one piece: a British trade dollar in a bezel. (It was an AU 1930, as I recall.)

They do have a beautiful design, don't they.

    All great advice.....my 2 bits....
Sell for profit if you want cash...if not hold I still think the balloon is rising...translation I am holding and even trying to buy at the right prices.
    Best regards!
