Some did well and others were bargains- I thought the 1797 copper 2d on the Goldberg auction was better than the 63 and probably the 64 on the Heritage auction and sold for less

The price for this Florin is more than i wanted to pay but it is in my opinion the best struck Florin that i have come across in the last 5 years. It looks like a proof - like strike to me?I have three other 66's and this is without a doubt the finest that i own. I think it also challenges the Berti Florins that - we are of course fortunate to have the previous owners of these great florins on this site. I will post the pictures of the 1859 from PCGS that i had reholdered - which is of course just simply a stunning coin.

Indeed!
Nice to see it TrueView'd™ showing the colors and luster so well . . . . . I took the liberty saving Phil's handiwork on this one.
Let us know if you come across the 'other' 1859 which PCGS graded MS67. I'd love to see it one day, although I can't see it being that much nicer than your example.

Plus, $69k for that Old Head £5 PF, & $18k for the '93 crown PF over at Heritage.
