1975 76 Cincinnati Reds Team Issue Postcards

I've been trying to compile a checklist for these and wondered if anyone might have any additions. They were issued between 74-76 based on the players have the exact design as the 73 set so really should probably be listed as 73-76. Anyone remember buying these back in the days curious if issued as full team sets like the photo packs of the 60's or how they were distributed.

I just looked them up in Bob's (Aupt) "bible" but did not see them listed. Sorry I could not be of more help.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Over the years we excised most team issues from 1960+ from the Standard Catalog so there would be room for all the shiny new stuff. The new edition of the book, 2012, however, will be vintage only, and we will reinstate all of the cards and memorabilia from the 1880s through 1980 that was removed over the years.

Through the efforts of a couple of dedicated Reds collectors we added tons of this sort of thing to the data base in the last couple of years.

The book is going to the printer as we sit here, so it should be available about the end of October.

You can probably find a good deal on Amazon, or check the F+W Media website.
  • yeah the old stuff is coming back looking forward to it Bob will there be a DVD or CD with this edition I loved that with the 09 edition?

Steve, there will not be a DVD or CD with the 2012 book. Evidently the business end of the company did not see a positive impact on sales, though I think that would be more attributable to the state of the baseball card market.

Did you know that the 76 Reds WS team only used 9 players the entire world series (non-pitchers)
