  • That's always a hoot. I remember several years ago, there was a guy asking $726.00 for a 1981 Topps baseball card set. $1 per card!

I wonder what will show up if I type in "medium rare"?

  • I can think of a few people who would pay well over $1 for some 1980 commons in PSA 10. But yeah... The shoebox full of "rare" cards probably isnt worth the shipping.

He should put "set break!" in the title too, that'd be awesome.

I have one showing in a rack pack, but I'm not busting it just to get the card and ruin the value of that baby. Sorry. image

Obvious to me that people are holding on to their Greenwell rookies for now in anticipation of the appreciation in value upon enshrinement into the Hall of Fame.

    Ebay says:

243 results found for 1952 topps mickey mantle
24 results found for 1987 topps mike greenwell

    Hmmmm.
  • Great now everyone on Collector's Universe will be looking for them. Now I'll never get one.

Who wants a easy to find 1952 Topps Mantle? Greenwell is where the money is.

Beleive it or not, in 1988 or 1989 (RC Year) I collected them.

I guess I'll have to start collection Kevin Seitzer instead. (Yes, I also had a collection of Seitzer Rookes. Memories sometimes suck.)

Greenwell was my cousin's favorite player. He has about 50 of them. He might trade you one because he is on the hunt for a Rare 1986 Cecil Fielder rookie.
