Patchin's is probably the best...followed by Huntington Beach Coin Exchange (I think that's the name). That's not in Orange but still....these are really the only ones I bother with.
If there are any coins we are auctioning you wish to view while you are in Orange County, just let us know. We welcome clients who wish to view our auctions (and also drop off consignments)... just let us know first though.
And as Wei can attest, a #1 ranked OC burger joint is located in our complex (I'm still trying to find out who ranked it #1).
<< <i>Didn't know you did burgers Ian...which one is it??? For O.C. coin shops, Main Street Coins in Yorba Linda... >>
Unfortunately I am hooked on this place. It's called Mick's Karma Bar. Mick's (and GreatCollections) is located about 5 minutes from PCGS (basically in between the airport and PCGS).
We're in an office park of six high-rise buildings in a semi-circle. Although Mick's is on the ground floor of another building, it's a two minute walk.
Back in the old days, there was Fullerton Coins on Raymond Ave in Fullerton- if it is still there, it might be fun to visit. I believe the old owner passed away and I was told a big name person owns it now

It's still there...
There is also a shop in Buena Park near Knott's Berry Farm called Michelle's Coin with a bid board every Thursday's...
I'm pretty squeezed on time, I am coming down tomorrow and back home Saturday evening, so it's really a whirlwind trip. I'll be hitting a football game in the evening on Friday and taking in a bike ride from Tustin to either the beach or up into Modjeska Cyn. on Saturday, so I don't have a lot of time to drive around. I'm hoping to find a few places in the Tustin/Orange area that I can hit up when I arrive on Friday early afternoon.

Now back in the day, there was Doyle's Coin Palace in Buena Park also near Knotts Berry Farm and I am trying to remember the street it was on- LaPalma?? I know it was not Lincoln or Orangethorpe- huge bid board- a mob of people- just a complete circus but those were the days...

Their burgers are pretty good. The best in OC? I don't know about that.

2030 Main Street, in the Wells Fargo Building. There are parking structures behind the buildings, just follow the signs for 2030 Main Street. Although we welcome all visitors, it only makes sense if there are particular coins on our site that you wish to view. Unfortunately, I don't have boxes of coins to look though, so it works like this:
1. Let us know which coin item numbers you would like to view, and when you would be in approximately. 2. We'll pull the items and have them ready for you.
So, if you have time, and there are some coins you wish to view - you're welcome to stop in, just let us know beforehand.
Have a nice trip down this way.

PS. There is also London Coin Gallery on Macarthur, very close to the airport. They are more a retail shop.
There was a place called Knollwood's (world'sBest) that was on either Glassell or Tustin Ave in Anaheim- their burgers were excellent. I suspect it is still there as they always had a crowd

The first time I went in there i picked out of a box a scarce variety, he knew i did and what it was as he commented back to me on it without me saying anything, but sold it to me anyway at the price marked. Nice guy.
But, After that Whenever I went in there he would not show anything in his boxes it was like pulling teeth. He could have charged me more for that coin but chose not to. . He always bragged on what he had bought, but told me it was sold. I quite going in there, to many games. Not sure what the new owners do.
Well, even before Pannier bought Fullerton Coins, it was owned by Dee Bishop- there was a great bid board and it was a great place- That was the first coin store I ever visited...
