PCGS Doily

Timbuk3Timbuk3 Posts: 11,658 ✭✭✭✭✭
I recently purchased from a forum member, (2) Morgans that are in
" doily " holders. One with no outer holder and the other with a
outer holder that is damaged and is removable. Both inner holders
are okay. I contacted PCGS and spoke with a customer rep. who
did not know what a "doily" holder was. My question is will PCGS
replace the outer holder and keep ihe inner holder which has the
"doily" label.

HELP !!!

Thanks

I don't think they could, even if they wanted to.

I'm sure they ran out of those outer rings about
twenty years ago, and haven't used them since.

It would cool if PCGS placed your doily insert in this generation holder.
No way they would though I suppose.

I'm sure the term "Doily" was not coined by PCGS, thus I'm not surprised the customer rep was confused by what you meant.

That would be very cool and they really should consider it IMO.
