<< <i>Much like I am the very unusual computer nerd/IT guy that hates both Star Wars and Star Trek, I am also the unusual Pink Floyd fan that prefers the post-Waters stuff to anything else. While I love "Wish You Were Here", "Dark Side of the Moon" and so on, I find "Momentary Lapse of Reason" and "Division Bell" to be their strongest work. Huge fan of "Sorrow", in particular. I just started playing guitar a couple weeks ago and "Sorrow" is the main thing I'm working on learning right now. Yeah, it's not coming along well

<< <i>"Money" is always a consideration with a transaction like this. You have to take the "time" to "breathe" with a find like that, so you do not get "brain damage", otherwise you might not find "any colour you like" on your cards. Cool pickup! >>
One must be careful to not have a "momentary lapse of reason" and end up dropping a card or three, resulting in feelings of "sorrow". Just pull aside "another brick in the wall" and store them there. I know you have "high hopes" for this pile of cards while I, personally, am "lost for words" on the sheer size of the stack.

<< <i>I prefer the Modern Day Pink Floyd/Rush type music. (TOOL)
Actually the closest band to Pink Floyd is Porcupine Tree, especially their earlier albums with songs like "Waiting". Recently they scored a big hit with the song "Lazarus" which has a lot of Floyd in it. They are the from England and Steve Wilson sings like Dave not Roger. Also they put on an amazing light show and have movies for their songs like Floyd.
Porcupine Tree tickets are amongst the hardest to get when they tour in the US of any foreign band.
Another very popular Metal band with a ton of Floyd in them is Agalloch. The song "She Painted Fire Across the Sky" is very Floydian.
Nice stack of 52s!

<< <i>There's been a show running a lot on PBS lately - Austrailian Pink Floyd. Caught a couple songs while flipping through channels the other night. They really got them down to a tee >>
I had never heard of that tribute band until last weekend. I decided to watch for a few minutes. They started playing Run like hell and my wife (who was on the computer doing whatever at that point) turned around and said..."that is awful...who is ruining that song?"
She's a casual music listener at best, but she knows the song and was not impressed at all!
*starts humming the Jeopardy theme*
One of these days, I'm going to cut your cards into little pieces
let's look at the 52's from another point of view:
The B-52's - Love Shack

(a B-52 that is!)
my olde B-47 is a cousin of the '52!
