Turnaround times could use an improvement except PCGS turnaround times are fairly good compared to the competition. Those guys are running close to three months, longer for foreign coin orders.

I can tell ya a horror story My last 2 submissions I have had to send back for mechinical error, still waiting for a hockey puck from july 15 and today I found out my LAST submission of 4 were all graded under standard instead of the box I checked secure plus. Now these four will have to get sent back when i get them????????????? Also one of the coins I posted on this site was suppose to be a 1964 type B it got graded proof 55 ? I think they need some more help as I am totally disappointed with the last 2 submissions. I am trying to stay calm but.................................image

That's a long wait. I feel your pain. They need to look into speeding up the line! This is why I have nothing currently at PCGS. I'm waiting for things to speed up. They are going to have to improve their times to receive my coins and $$$.

    Date received - date shipped
    7/15/2011 8/16/2011 Shipped 15 Economy Private
    6/13/2011 7/13/2011 Shipped 8 Economy Private

I guess I can't complain. My economy orders are almost as fast as my regular tier. But my regular tiers I always have imaging done.

call them and see if you can get it stopped before it gets shipped.

they seem to be running a bit more behind than they usually are these days.

I must say, though, I'd rather them be slow and right than fast and wrong.

I had an Exec VP who liked to do a McDonald's demo during all hands meetings.

he'd bring one of us slackers up there to be the customer.

he'd take the order and turn his back and pretend to work for a long time with no communication.

I thought it was a good point.

Laterl I heard customer feedback similar to the above from the very same Exec VP at a later all hands:
they'd rather us be slow and get it done right the first time.

So, while not everything is fast food... you do need to keep people updated with some kind of status.

In a round about way, I'm thinking when they get this slow it is making a case for "enahanced statuses" on the orders page. Even if it is updated with "still in grading queue as of 8/29/2011" with the prior update of "still in grading queue as of 8/25/2011". You'd at least know you're still loved and no one has dropped your ball.

And of course, it does help to know they are even slower lately. I'm not flipping my current submission, so these I'd even more rather have right the first time than fast. I can wait.

My last two sub have been slow the one in now went in 7/20 and I called. They said last week it would be completed still not shipped it's a Reg Mod sub all I can do is wait. With ICG they would give you free submission if it went over 30 days they would give you 3x your submission. image

Did the OP submit world or US coins?

If he submitted US then shouldn't he expect his coins back in 24 days and not 42? image

Getting ready for a larger submission for me 20-30 coins, so I guess I'll look forward to Thanksgiving results.

It has already been shipped, and I wish there was a way the grades would be posted before they ship so a member can see if everything is right instead of doing this send back. I think I did get lucky on the light finish I called monday and told alisha that it still looked as tho it had the wrong number(this is the second time it was there and I did not want to send it back for the third time, so she did stop that one and was suppose to call back and let me know if the label was right. Still waiting to hear. I just have a hard time understanding why I have to repackage and put a new form in with the mechinical error and that goes under regular so theres another 20 + days to wait. I think if a package gets shipped back because of there error it should go to the front of the line not the back. I have been more than patience over this but it is starting to wear thin. Enjoy image
