I Love going through recent world coin purchases that come into the shop.

I was going through about 200 world coins last night while Irene was blowing outside and man did I find some fantastic darkside coins. It is like a crap shoot when you buy world coins in lots as they come into the shop.

Last night I found some great coins

examples

1942 6 pence from new Zealand in XF
1885 (86) Spanish 1 Peseta in VF
1936 6 pence from New Zealand in Unc.
1956 German 5 Mark in XF
1928 D German 50 Reichfenning
1937 1/2 Crown from New Zealand in XF

And many many more. What a nice way to spend waiting out a hurricane.

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then question the manner in which I provide it. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!

I'm back part time at another shop.
There was a 100 lb box of world coins that I went through over 3 days.
    Some finds:
    Ohio civil war store card
    Greenland 25 ore
    St Pierre & Miquelon F & 2 F BU
    1805 Ireland 1/2D VF-XF
French Indochina 1945 10 Ctm. BU
    1892 Grover Cleveland token
    Mexico 1906 2Ctv AU
& about 1/2 pound of silver minors mostly Sweden & similar fineness.
Plus a bunch of medals that I haven't figured out yet.

At $5 a pound, he did very good.
The most money I made are on coins I haven't sold.

    Got quoins?

Funny how often CWTs and such seem to appear in Darkside lots. I've cherrypicked a few colonials that way, too.

Wow, that's surprisingly high grade for a bulk lot. I've found those in bulk lots, sure, but usually in Poor to AG.

At five bux a pound, that sounds like a GREAT mix!
