Not a Pope

Now this is what I love about how i collect. This medal was advertised as Pope Martinus II. Well, that immediately raised alarms as I did not think there ever was such a pope, especially one connected with 1783.
When I finally had the medal in hand, it led me to what I enjoy, research. Who was this guy?
The hint was "S Blasii." Research into Saint Blaise led me to his Abbey in the Black Forest. One of the most prominent heads was a musical scholar, Martin Gerbert. He restored the Abbey as Prince Abbot Martin II.
Also, I discovered a new medalist (for me), Guillemard.
I suspect, considering the wear, there must have been generations of people with sore throats!
