2012 Lunar Dragon coins....

Australia

Silver: Just a reverse image of the 2000 Dragon without the bats. I liked the old design so I like this one too but I was hoping for something better.

Gold: Very disappointed in this design. Absolutely terrible IMO.

And from Canada: Best design so far, looks great. Other countries will be releasing their design as well, most notably China, which I'm sure will trump all other designs like usual.

Watcha guys think?

I like it and ordered it, along with the $150 Canadian Gold Dragon which is different than the ones shown. Mintage 2500

    Canada $150 Gold

Can anyone tell me why Canada and Australia makes Chinese Dragon coins? I thought only China makes them.

Both countries have substantial Chinese populations.

Because the design sells and makes the mints much $$$$

Do they have a capsule to fit a high relief coin like that?

Yes PCGS and NGC both have a slab as they graded one for the UHR Gold Saints that came out a couple of years ago. image

I would expect the dimensions of a gold and silver high relief to be different.

I saw NGC graded 2011 high relief silver kangaroos not long after they came out last year, so yeah they should be able to do it.
    didn't see any PCGS though
