Cleaning question
Had a common date morgan that was grey in color over the entire coin and thought I would try my hand at cleaning it up. Didn't have any acetone so I used a common sterling silver cleaner. It cleaned it nicely, but now wondering if it did damage compared to using acetone. I can't personally tell that it's been cleaned and the coin now has nice cartwheel luster.

Never used acetone. Good luck.
Any pictures?
a quick dip is considered OK by many, not all. Hopefully you rinsed it well after.
If you wiped it then you did damage.
How about a photo?
Better to have asked first by the way.

Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.

Was this silver cleaner a clear liquid dip like Tarnex or was it some kind of paste cleaner and polish?
