Best way to sell Morgan dollars ?

I have a rather unexciting collection of 100 Morgan silver dollars. Some appear to be in fine condition, others look like they've been run over by more than one bus.

So, my question is...I've had these in my posession for almost 30 years, just sitting in a box. I have no emotional attachment to them as they were given to me. What is the best way to dispose of them to acquire max value?

I actually thought about taking them to one of those "we buy gold and silver", but don't like feeling like a piece of raw meat going in the door. I am totally out of my element with these, just looking for FMV.

Tks for all responses.

Al

Id ask around the local B&M's what theyre paying for morgans since there is still a premium for silver dollars. Plus Id go through for better dates, never know whats in there.

Edited to add: Price of silver and premium for dollars changes daily. So try to keep that in mind when getting prices.

Guys around here will also give you a "buy" price, if you ask. Might be only at melt or slightly below though.

I recently sold a small lot of Morgan Dollars (10 coins). I went to a local small coin show in Niagara Falls and the best offer I received was $29.50/coin. Four days later I sold them here on the BST for $33/coin delivered. Shipping cost me about $1/coin with insurance, so I received $2.50/coin more than any dealer at a show offered me.

I would try to sell them here on the BST first. Shipping is fairly reasonable with USPS Flat Rate boxes.

Take pics and list the dates in the order they are in the pics. List them on here for melt shipped or slightly above (if they're just common date circs). You should no problem selling them. Might even sell them in one or two big lots to save on shipping/packaging.

Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
