1981 Topps vending box break.

I got the itch to open something and decided to break open a 1981 Topps vending box.
This box I bought a few months back from BBCE along with a 1982 and 1983.
I could not open the flap to the box. I had to "break in"
After removing cards I could see the flap was stuck to the outer edge.
I guess that means it was unopened. Also the way the cards were in the box would attest to that.
I love how BBCE puts a label on after shrinkwrapping them. Easy to remember what is on the box.

The Baines card was about the10th card in the box, not a bad start.
About 50 cards later came the Nolan Ryan and I was excited but alas it was off quite a bit and some white showing on Hat. Still happy I got one in the box.
Here are some of the stars:

About half way through I found another Nolan Ryan and then a third so a good box.
I only found 3 that look like possible 10's but it was a fun box to open.
I am not sure if I will submit any maybe the two Ryans?
Here are the rest:

I have a couple of 1981 vending boxes including one I bought from BBCE over 2 years ago. When I decide to start working on upgrading my sets again, I'll have to rip those babies open. Hopefully, the flap will cooperate a little better than yours did.

I see your sig line about the 1981 topps PSA-9's tough to get those from vending.
Got a few of those stars but no Gibsons and no 9's for sure.

<< <i>That Ozzie looks to be a pretty nice pull as far as the centering goes. How were the corners of the cards from your vending box?
Rodney >>
I would say about 5-8% had issues with corners, maybe 25-30 cards.
Centering was all over the place T/B L/R,
Ozzie would probably go an 8.
