Card Sellers On Facebook: Disaster Recovery Tips

With many card sellers - and other vendors - syncing their EBAY stores
with Facebook, preparing for the inevitable social faux pas is prolly a
good idea.
From time to time you WILL post something that you wish you could
take back. Sadly, once a "regretable" FB post or a tweet is out there,
"taking back" what you said is a tuff job.
The link below provides an overview of how the pros "walk back" their
disasters. Prolly oughta bookmark the article.
Social Media Disaster Recovery
Card sellers need to be especially careful about what kind of comments
they make regarding sports teams and athletes. It's OK to say you like
YOUR team/player, but even a casual negative remark about another
team/player can cost you biznez and "likes."
Obviously, NO political/religious comments should EVER be made on your
social-site sales venue. Snarky/nasty remarks about celebs - dead or alive -
are also verboten. You wanna appear "neutral" in ALL things not directly
related to your social-media mission: TO SELL MERCH.
If your current FB pages are already polluted with "questionable" comments,
you should prolly consider opening a new account before you upload a store.

I have had one EBAY sale from FB. I loaded a TINY store last week.
Here is the addy to upload your EBAY store inventory to FB.

Amazon and Bonanza apps are also available. Other apps are being readied
for additional venues.

As LOTS of EBAYers - and other online sellers - are syncing with FB,
it is reasonable to think that Google+ will offer a similar scheme when
they rollout to the public. (Meanwhile, if you have a BETA invite to G+,
you can still pump your items there.)
GOOG+ invites are being sold on EBAY, if you are impatient.

Twitter may eventually play, but meanwhile, you can post links on
TWT that WILL boost traffic to your EBAY items.
...............................
Times are tuff and will get worse. Online sellers need to use EVERY
possible avenue to maintain/increase sales.
Social Media may turn out to be a fad; I dunno. I do know that if
you are not playing today, you are cheating yourself. And, if SM
does turn out to be the "wave of the future," you still have an
opportunity to be an early rider on that wave.

SM is likely the biggest threat to ebay and it's hold.
One again sound advice storm.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

That's great.
Many of the invites will only work with a gmail addy.
If the invitee's email addy is linked to another google account -
like GoogleCheckout or AdSense - the invite may get rejected.
It may be a good idea to register a new gmail account, before
receiving or trying to use the invites.
let me know
peace
thanks
