Milwaukee Brewers Magic # is 4 with a poll

FavreFan1971FavreFan1971 Posts: 3,105 ✭✭✭
With 34 games remaining for the Brewers they have an 8.5 game lead lead on the cardinals. The 'Crew is tied with the Braves for the Wild card.

Here is to looking forward to the post season for the Brewers. We have a top 3 staff in all of baseball right now and the best since the All Star Break. We have TWO MVP candidates in Braun and Fielder. One of the best hitting 2nd basement in Weeks when he comes back.

One, if not the hottest team in baseball right now.

I will update the magic # as it works its way down.

Thanks for a fun year so far Brewers!!!

Brewers rout the Pirates and the cards lose again. Down to 23 and we have a week to go in August.

Brewer dropped the last game to the Pirates and split the series 2-2 on a 5-2 road trip. The cards dropped another game to the lowly Dodgers and have lost 7 of their last 10. The cards are further back in the Wildcard chase (11 games) then they are the division lead (10 games)

Hats off to the Brew Crew. Most likely, the Brewers will win by 7 or more games. Ryan Braun gets my vote for MVP. He's a tremendous young player.

Wait a second, if he is a tremendous player, then he must be on PED's image

Scratch him from my MVP ballot. He needs to be banned because he is obviously using PED's. image

Nice, I don't see any sarcasm in your comment at all image.

Actually, in that first sentence, I was very serious. Ryan Braun does get my vote (even though he does trip going around third base alot!) image

The other two sentences were very sarcastic. image

Albert must have took a double dose this morning. 4 for 4; 2 HR; 5 RBI's.

Cheater!!!!! This just isn't possible without help.

What a great weekend for the 'Crew. After losing three to the cards we went and swept the Astros in three and took the first game of a three game set to the cards. Down to 11 now because the cards lost 2 of 3 to the Reds and the first game of the series with THE Crew.

No need to do that. Every one of those guys playing today are just as suspicious as the other.
Are you sure about that five minutes!?

Wonder if anyone has noticed that the Brewers haven't won a series against a team above .500 since May, except for the Cardinals...

Are you sure the Reds and Pirates were not at 500 when we beat them? The Mets were over 500 and we put them below 500 with the sweep. I could go on, but get your facts straight.

    Magic # is now 10

Talking about facts!!! Magic # for the brew crew is not 10. The #10 is to eliminate the cardinals. If both the cards and the brewcrew lost 10 games in a row the cardinals would be eliminated. In the given scenario the reds winning 10 games in a row would be 2 games out with four left to play (THE FACTS NOT ELIMINATED). If one doesn't understand magic #'s than 1 (one) shouldn't dis on bad facts.

Umm, the Reds are 14 games out of first with 16 games to go. What FACTS are you reading? If the Brewers lost 10 in row they would be 86-72 and the Reds would be 81-75. Seems to be a lot more then a game lead there.

If one doesn't understand the FACTS they shouldn't dis on bad FACTS
  • and if the reds won their final six games and the brewers lost there final four games who wins the division finestein.

    The Reds by one game.

    Thanks you

  • Finestein

I say that is to eliminate the cards.

That I will wager on Fiestein

ASK any one else on the boards

if brewcrew lost there remaining games and the reds win out, and the cards lose 10 games

    THE REDS WIN THE DIVISION

Wow, someone woke up on the wrong side of the magic number today. I said, care to wage that the Reds won't win the division. That is the wager. I understand the magic number you listed out. I was just trying to get a rise out of you. Guess I did. You must be a LaRusa fan I am guessing.
  • No actually a Chicago Cubs Fan

No harm no hard feelings here

Hope the brew crew wins the NL title

get my facts straight? You could "go on" but you'd be incorrect each time. The Mets were 60-63 BEFORE the Brewers swept them, the Pirates were 56-60 BEFORE the Brewers swept them 3 weeks ago, and the Reds were 44-45 BEFORE MIL took 3 out of 4. Oops. But I guess if you don't like looking at the actual facts, maybe Verducci's generalness will do it for you.

    Verducci.
Do you know the last time Milwaukee won a series against a winning team other than the Cardinals? That would be before Memorial Day. The Brewers went the entire summer without winning a series against a good team other than St. Louis.

WOW! What a finish last night. Offense has been in a slump for over a week and I am concerned. Not about getting to the playoffs but losing the home field advantage in the first round.
  • FavreFan1971FavreFan1971 Posts: 3,105 ✭✭✭
Boy, the Cards are sure not making it easy. We swept the Reds in three but the Cards won 2 of 3 from Philly. Brewers control their home field destiny from here. Go 'Crew
