After listening to CNBC for a few minutes this morning, it became apparent that on Wall Street, the real definition of deflation is, "MY STOCKS ARE GOING DOWN. DO SOMETHING!!

Until that changes, we're all in trouble.

deflation is good for something that has been over inflated. Had Fed been doing its job it would have been a controlled, slow easing of pressure. When an economy "pops" it deflates fairly rapidly and uncontollably. Welcome to 2011, not only did they not let enough air out in 2008, they have overfilled the balloon since then.

"Interest rates, the price of money, are the most important market. And, perversely, they’re the market that’s most manipulated by the Fed." - Doug Casey
