Topps Pro Debut, Bowman Chrome Prospects, and Donruss Elite Extra Edition

So, now that Topps is cranking out a new set of cards containing minor leaguers in Topps Pro Debut, will they be considered in the same light as Bowman Chrome Prospects cards or Donruss Elite Extra Edition, or is it going to be lumped with Just Minors, Classic, and Best?

  • Topps put the Pro Debut set out last season (in two series) and it did pretty well.

Topps will never put out a better ROI vs buy-in (as far as RCs go) then Bowman Draft Picks and Prospects

Also, Topps is putting out Topps Heritage Minor League Edition this year, modeled after the 1962 Topps Set

  • IMO No. Just like Elite, they are valued until a Chrome card is released of them. Last year one of the Debut Blues hit $30+ because he was hot and it was his only card. Seems like USA, MILB (cards/etopps) etc go down as soon as a Chrome MLB card is issued. I think Pro Debut will be valued under Elite and more than Tristar and Razor. I remember 1st card whatever uniform was the most desired. Now it seems to be MLB uniform, Auto on Chrome is the standard. Seems like Tristar, Pro Debut are all short term investments for most.

You can get a UD USA Stras auto, his 1st year for less/same than his 2010 Topps Chrome auto...

As they say, Chrome is king.
