My 1st rip

So if you didnt already see My package arrived from the BBCE, I cant believe how quick it came, Im still waiting on 6 purchases from ebay that were atleast a week before this parcel arrived. Unfortuntely as you can see in the thread below, that my local post office neglected to take care of the parcel, it was kinda wet, infact very wet, allot of the external boxes got soaked anyways some of the packs were a bit damaged, its not like there are super valuble cards in this lot so even though steve offered me credits on the damaged stuff, I dont think its worth it and its not his fault. Some of the guys on this board also said theyd send me a few things to make up for the damages so that was pretty cool....

heres how the boxes looked when they arrived:

ok so here are a few of the single packs I ordered to begin building a collection with:

And these are all packs from the bottoms of boxes where they had got a bit wet and damged, some of them had ripps, tears and other problems... luckily theyre not 86 fleers...

Anyways I busted 1 of each pack open from the boxes just to check, some of the cards are a bit messed from the moinsture and some of them had pretty bad corners out the packs...

this is what it showed on the back...

84 OPC should be fun. Look for Don Mattingly, Darryl Strawberry, Joe Carter RCs and tons of HOFers/stars like Ripken, Ryan, Rose. And as tempting as it may be, don't eat the gum. Enjoy!
Successful transactions with: thedutymon, tsalems1, davidpuddy, probstein123, lodibrewfan, gododgersfan, dialj, jwgators, copperjj, larryp, hookem, boopotts, crimsontider, rogermnj, swartz1, Counselor

Always buying Bobby Cox inserts. PM me.
  • as thats the only 84 OPC i have I wont be opening it.... anything speacile in the 81 fleer or dunruss?

  • well after that fun I went and cracked the box of 91 Donrus according to BBCe

    BBCE item link

The site has a pick of the sanderberg card..
    Key Rookie: Phil Plantier

Series 1 contains cards from 1-386. Look for Diamond Kings, randomly inserted Bonus Cards (BC1-10 in series 1), and randomly inserted Elite serial-numbered inserts!

    From Beckett.com:

These special cards were randomly inserted in the 1991 Donruss first and second series wax packs. These cards marked the beginning of an eight-year run of Elite inserts. Production was limited to a maximum of 10,000 serial-numbered cards for each card in the Elite series, and lesser production for the Sandberg Signature (5,000) and Ryan Legend (7,500) cards. This was the first time that mainstream insert cards were ever serial numbered allowing for verifiable proof of print runs. The regular Elite cards are photos enclosed in a bronze marble borders which surround an evenly squared photo of the players. The Sandberg Signature card has a green marble border and is signed in a blue sharpie. The Nolan Ryan Legend card is a Dick Perez drawing with silver borders. The cards are all numbered on the back, 1 out of 10,000, etc.

so I thought it was a decnt buy for 8$

Anyways they have a nice insert of Diamond Kings as well as Willie Stargile Puzzle, im not considering ripping the whole box, collecting the diamond kings and trying to make the puzzle.

The Bowman 89s have these nice reprint inserts the 1st pack I got the reprint Ted Williams auto and then Im thinking of cutting this guy out....
