    Dacardworld.com

I've never bought from them, but I do look at their site from time to time. Priced higher than bbce on most items.

    Thanks,

I have 1987 Topps Mini and 1989 Topps Yearbook stickers I could go $5 a box on. Shipping would eat you up somewhat but it would be cost.

Also, if grading, not sure how the 87 Topps Mini would do. They are wrapped in a fairly tight cello like pack.

What ever happened to Mark Murphy, AKA The Baseball Card Kid? I bought a ton of stuff from him late 90's/early 2000's. I know his warehouse burned down several years ago; so has he been out of the game since then? He used to carry a pretty full inventory of unopened.

MArk Murphy has a limited selection of unopened material. It seems like nothing older than 1985 or so. He has about 5 pages of baseball related items and only about 1 page of each of the other sports. It seems he is now into vintage games. He has about 20 pages of those. The web site is http://www.bbckid.com/servlet/storefront
I hope I did the attachment correctly, if not the site is www.bbckid.com

A few months ago, I had lunch with Mark as I was passing through San Diego on a buying trip. He's pretty much retired, not just with cards, but it would seem retired from everything. He talked about possibly getting back into the hobby, but I just don't see it. Being a man of leisure in Southern California is a full-time job, and it's a lifestyle many of us could get used to.

  • Does anyone remember Darren Prince's ads in the 90's in SCD? They were amazing. He had stuff you just don't see anymore..like, 61 fleer basketball packs for $500, 58 topps football packs, 56 topps football, etc. Between murphy and prince, in one of those 200-250 page SCD's, you could get some good wax between the 50's and 70's/80's.

-Murphy seemed like he had a lot of fun in the 90's with cards. It seems like everything coincided to make it successful....hot market, easy to sell, plenty of deals still out there, etc. Murphy could give BBCE some good competition if he gave it 100%. I wonder what he thinks about the unopened market of the past 10 years.

When BBCE doent have it, where do you go?

It's a rather simple process. First you find a seller who has what you want to buy. Don't ask the price as it could complicate things later. Then you call Exchange, tell them about the deal, and send them a signed blank check. They will buy the deal, complete and cash your check with their desired profit margin added in, and send out your order with free shipping. This is the only way you can assure yourself of obtaining authentic unsearched $5 wax boxes.
