Grading experts, I have a 1954 football card

that would probably grade an 8, but it has a very small (maybe 1/2 inch by 1/4 inch wax stain on the back). Will this lower the grade or get a qualified?

    Yes.

    Good for you.
  • My expertise is in vintage baseball, but I would say it depends on how dark the stain is. In particular, I've seen quite a number of PSA 8 '50-'52 Bowman baseball cards which have small and faint stains on the back.
Always looking for vintage White Sox cards at reasonable prices.
