Why not offer mini-sets by denomination? Has anybody already suggested this? Probably. Now the 20-cent piece would make for a rather short type set (one coin), but you could have it as part of an odd-denomination set instead (2c/3c/20c). There is already a small set for Morgan dollars from the various mints, I believe- why not denominational type sets?

And I still want my SMS set--three years, 15 coins, easily achieveable in MS66/67 for a moderate budget collector, lots of room for high rollers with high grade MS68 and CAM/DCAM coins, plenty of profit potential for PCGS as these are pre-1970 $15 a pop coins.

I wonder if my denomination set idea, ridiculously simple as it is, ever occurred to anyone...

Maybe everybody got tired of type set discussion last month. Overpolled, perhaps?
Here's an idea: I could threaten to start another poll if nobody else responds...

I've had this same thought, and think that it's a great idea!
I'm ready and waitin' with a nice quarter type set(Seated, Barber, Standin', Isabella, Washington, etc.)!
Let's take a poll!

There is a Complete Type Set that covers 1792-1964, avoiding the majority of the modern coins. 25 of the 134 required pieces are exclusive to the 20th Century. The rest are pre-20th or crossovers like Barbers. And of the 25 20th Century pieces, 9 are gold and the others are non-gold.
