I can't imagine that it is anything other then 1st base. RF has had some sluggers, but first is the power position. I bet RF is 2nd, and LF 3rd. Next should be CF or 3rd base. Third was not a power position in in the 1st half of the 20th century.
It would be shocking if the answer was anything but 1B, except for RF, I suppose. The totals for each position would be interesting to see. How many homers have 1B hit vs. the total for SS+3B, for example.

OK, here we go, if you said.......................... 1B then you are correct (37,200 ) hr's, runner-ups are Right fielders (34,500) and Left fielders (33,000+), Center fielders and then 3B. Catchers, 2B and shortstops ( in that order) just ahead of DH, PH and pitchers.
