(Answered) Quiz time...Which defensive position has hit the most HR's all-time in MLB history?

Again, no cheating.............that takes all the fun out of guessing. image For the record i would have guessed Right field.

With guys like Aaron and Ruth, I would have to guess right field as leading the way...

Right field was my guess with 1st base being second. I will go out on a limb and say that pitcher probably has the least. image

I can't imagine that it is anything other then 1st base. RF has had some sluggers, but first is the power position. I bet RF is 2nd, and LF 3rd. Next should be CF or 3rd base. Third was not a power position in in the 1st half of the 20th century.

It would be shocking if the answer was anything but 1B, except for RF, I suppose. The totals for each position would be interesting to see. How many homers have 1B hit vs. the total for SS+3B, for example.

Logic would dictate 1B then RF. The least would obviously be SS and then 2B...

I would guess RF, LF, and 1B. What's the answer?

OK, here we go, if you said.......................... 1B then you are correct (37,200 ) hr's, runner-ups are Right fielders (34,500) and Left fielders (33,000+), Center fielders and then 3B. Catchers, 2B and shortstops ( in that order) just ahead of DH, PH and pitchers.
