Unknown Tremissis type

I think it may be an Islamic or Merovingian version? I was hoping someone might help id it, possibly Josh ie Civitas?

Or maybe Guido the Sixteenth?
Kidding. Regardless, that is WAY cool. I can count the number of ancient gold coins I've owned on the tips of one... finger. Or the tip of my nose, for that matter. (Just one- the holey Zeno solidus on my hat. It's also my only Eliasberg coin.)
I thought I owned a tremissis, once. I bought and paid for a Leo I tremissis on VCoins, but the dealer sold it at a show and hadn't updated his page. I got a refund, of course, but I was sorely disappointed, because I really wanted another piece of gold for my Roman set.
I dream of owning an aureus one day.
Oh, and speaking of ones that got away, I once saw a holey Sword & Scepter piece sort of like your avatar pic, on eBay, and SO wanted it for my hat, but they wanted way too much crazy money for it and I had to give it a pass. I still think of it, though.
When I first saw it I thought CONOB looked wrong but my experience lies with Solidus coins and not Tremissis. Ages ago I let an Islamic Byzantine Solidus slip me by. I bid to low on it. I later discovered it was rare and I was kicking myself as it went cheap.
As for the Sword and Sceptre piece, luckily I still own it. If I had sold it I would be hard pushed to buy it, or another one at this present time.
Boy, the alphabet sure deteriorated after Rome fell, didn't it? That lettering is barely readable to me (on both examples). I have a hard time with a lot of medieval coins, too. (Edit: I guess Dark Ages material like this is technically "early medieval", eh?)
