Some unique George II shilling items

Hi,
I can usually be found on the US coin or Sports forums.
I was hoping someone here may help identifying a couple of items.
A friend of mind who is in his 70's had to clean out his safe deposit box because the branch he had it in is closing.
He brought these items to me to ask my opinion of what they were and their value. (see link below for all the items)
Here are two items with a George II shilling in them, he believed they were wine tasting thingies.
I told him they were really nice items but I had no clue what they were or if they were valuable.
The 2-1/2 dollar coins were easy to tell him about but the other items I am at a loss.
I asked lordmarcovan for help first and he suggested I post them here that you guys may be of some help.
Even if you can't help identify them please take a look, they are really cool items.
Thanks , Joe

The preferred beverage sipped from the cuach is whisky.
The second item appears to be styled like a gravy bowl......maybe to pour over some victuals known as haggis.
Any hallmarks? I'd presume they are both close to sterling in purity.
The other pieces appear to be styled in a Turkish-hand. Maybe something picked up whilst on a Grand Tour of the Continent.

Thanks,
I did not notice any hallmarks, My friend Dennis thought one of them may have been Russian.
