Carterscards...

Everytime I come across one of his auctions, I feel like he is yelling.

Like THIS one.

Would be a cool card to own, despite all the excessive puffery in the description. I love it when sellers reference a previous *really* high price (in this case REA) and state it as the last price the card sold at and intentionally exclude a more recent (and a lower) price--as if would-be collectors of this card don't have access to the historical pricing.

Also, 36 point blue font in ALL CAPS is so 1999.

I'm also glad he underlined all the important stuff. image

And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep."

On a sidenote: I had no idea the level of prices the Joe Jackson RC achieves. Talking 14K for a PSA 2. Amazing!

Wow, I had to read that with sunglasses on...too bright.

Question: I've seen a lot of older baseball cards with what appears to be lipstick on their lips...is this normal printing or added later by kids?

LOL, the staining gives it character

Yeah, that's normal printing. I thought the same thing the first time I saw one of these.

I'd also be talking up the card if I was fortunate to have one to sell, even if it didn't appear high end for the grade.

I don't understand how he can honestly say that it looks like an SGC '5'!! I have NEVER had an SGC '5' with staining on the back, staining (or whatever that poop is imbedded on the front), creases, and rounded corners. If this guy told me that in person, I can only imagine what expletives would accidentally slip out of my mouth, and I would be hard pressed to stifle a laugh.
