My experience is that they never had cards worth grading.

I have never had a bad experience with them. But I was buying raw and not worrying about the grade.

Everything I ever bought was expensive, came back a 10, and I tripled my money.

  • I bought some raw Near Mint cards from them, they were Excellent at best.

I would NOT advise buying from them, unless you have an actual photo of the card (Not a stock photo)

  • Really hit and miss with them.

Good luck - there's a decent chance you'll get an email informing you that some of the cards you ordered aren't in stock.

There's also a more than decent chance whatever cards you're looking to purchase are hugely overpriced, at least that's the case with their modern stuff. No reason to believe their pricing model would be any different for vintage.

Are you buying thru the mail or in person?

In person I found them to be clueless and for the most part too much of a hassle to deal with. But as they don't seem to know what they are doing you can get a steal on scarce variations they don't price as such.

ditto Griffin. The place is OK if you need to finish insert sets. They do have a deep inventory and are organized well.

  • They are an overpriced joke. The only way you should buy from them is if you "have" to have one of their cards. Last time i checked they don't send vasoline with their cards but they should really consider it because your going to feel like you need it after you make the purchase.

I agree with TNP. I've bought raw from them before and about 20% of the cards in thier inventory weren't actually available, but didn't find out until AFTER I paid. Some cards were sharp, others weren't.
