I'm swearing off unopened stuff!!

If anyone catches me buying unopened stuff to look for gems, please have me committed to the nearest crazy house.

Just went through a 1986 OPC baseball vending case and did not find one (no, not even one) gradable card!!! I know that's a tough set and vending sucks, but geez! Also opened ten boxes of 1988 leaf and found no gradable stars. I'm not writing this because I'm surprised. I'm writing this because I know how this crap goes, but continue to order the stuff!!! At least it's dirt cheap material I'm opening.

Anyone else have a problem and need help?

I successfully quit gambling, but quitting busting unopened packs may be impossible - I'm not even gonna try. image

Now that I'm thinkin' about it, I believe I hear a Walmart A&G blaster calling me. LOL

I spend perhaps around $100 a year on blasters...that used to be one bet for me gambling.

To me the blasters and getting cards is like spending money on a hobby...but you can call it whatever your little heart desires. LOL

Does 1986 OPC come in rack packs? I've never seen it. I've opened some wax, just as crappy.

I hadn't really planned on it, but I have about 8000 cards laying around now. How many are you interested in? I might could get my son to put some together. This set is tough, I'm guessing maybe NM-MT sets at best.

    Bubbles,

I have what was called OPC vending cases when I bought them for 83, 84, 85, and 87. They are labeled as cut card cases and I bought them from Steve Myland back in the years listed. There is no year on the cases but they do say OPC on them.

First, I admit there is a higher power, and it's name is GEM.
