My National submission & purchases (w/scans)

Had a great time up in Chi-town, went to a Sox game on Thursday, had an excellent meal with Matt Miller and a couple other board members at Gibson's Wednesday night (thanks again Matt!) and spent my roll on some beautiful cards (see below).

First, my on-site submission for my annual renewal. These first 7 I slabbed to start my HOFer Autograph registry:

These next 8 are additions (the '90 Eclipse cards) and upgrades (the '74 Laughlins) for my Negro League HOFers and HOF Player registry sets:

Both of these are now the highest-graded examples.

And here are my purchases that help my post-48 HOF RC and HOF Complete sets:

I've been looking for a centered one of these for 3 years (thanks again to Matt who pointed me to it)

I'm really excited about the Gehringer...

The Speaker is the main card I was looking for in Chicago (both have Piedmont backs).

    Great cards all.
  • That's one of the best McCovey rookies I've ever seen... for sure the best centered one.

Beautiful on-card autographs. You can't find those very often anymore, the early on-card autographs have been absorbed.

I agree that Charley Gehringer is a great card!!! He is very underrated IMO.

Great additions to your collection. I agree with the above comments on the McCovey. I love the 1960 set, but its plagued with centering issues and PDs

Hi, You sat down at my table in the eating area at the National, and allowed me to hold and take in the McCovey. It is a stunning 8. Wish I had seen it first. Great pick-up.
