Thoughts on 1982 Carlton and Ryan

I have been out of collecting for a couple of years now, but started to get the itch to get back in it not to long ago. I purchased a number of boxes and rack’s from BBCE. I opened a 1982 Topps rack tonight. The two following cards were included. What do you think each would come back if graded. The corners on the Carlton look much better in person, but what card doesn’t. It does look like the Carlton has a ding on the right edge a little over half way up.

The top right corner of the Ryan looks soft. Other than that, it seems nice besides the strand of hair I managed to get in the scan.

Any feedback is appreciated.

  • 7 or 8.. Corner issue on the Ryan, and that mark on the other will drop it. Not worth the grading fees.

I agree with Cory that those cards are not worth the grading fee. I believe they are both PSA 7 at best. Still, nice cards for a raw set IMO.

Good luck getting back into the swing of things and welcome back!!!

Probably come in at 8 with the Carlton a little stronger. Ryan could rate 7 with the corner.
