Cards stolen at the National

I had a binder of early Bowman and '52 Topps baseball stolen today at the National. Each card was in an individual sleeve and priced in blue sharpie. The cards are commons and in off grade. I know it is a shot in the dark but if anybody comes across the cards this weekend, at a future show, shop, online, whatever, please contact me at abrandongordon@hotmail.com. Thanks! Tony Gordon

Sorry to hear about the loss, I am in SW Ohio and will keep an eye out, long shot but you never know.
Were you setup as a dealer and the entire binder walked off or did something else happen if you don't mind me asking?
Back in 2000 at a big dork convention called Origins in Ohio I busted a little punk kid trying to walk off with a binder of Magic the Gathering cards worth about $5K. I wasn't setup as a dealer myself that year but had been helping a friend and saw this kid eyeing the table across from us for about an hour. He then walked up with a binder of his own, layed it down over the other binder and just started to walk away when the dealer had his back to him. I ran up and grabbed him and yelled for security. Kid was arrested for grand theft and I was offered a nice reward. Turned that down but I did allow the dealer to buy me a beer later that night.
Hopefully the idiot will try and turn a quick profit by selling these on site and such a mix of cards will be easy to ID if you get the word out to other dealers.

Depends on a variety of factors. Too many to type on a mobile device

Every dealer with good inventory should invest in a sign stating that your "area" has video survailance.
Good luck with getting your stuff back.

Are the gun laws in Texas kind of like the tax code Mike.

I agree with both Tony's, a lot more satisfaction with a little pummeling.
Putting up a sign stating that the area is under surveillence is a great idea. If each of you contributed a video camcorders and put them high in the middle pointing in all four directions, that would be a big deterent.
Good luck getting the cards back. I'll keep my eyes open for them.
