1982-83 Topps Stickers

Anyone have any info on these? I know they come in bundles of 250... I have someone who has 200+ cases of these looking to sell

Any idea what each bundle of 250 is worth (Nice condition), of stars and of commons,,,, and what cases would go for?

That's a lot of stickers! I'm no expert so hopefully someone else chimes in.

Not sure what sport you are referring to, assuming baseball, they are not worth much. I was buying boxes of like 40 packs with about 6-8 stickers in a box for $1.50 last year from a local dealer of 1989. I dont imagine the 82 or 83 have much more value...the 1989 at least had the superstar backings so there were a lot of stars in every pack.

I pretty much just pulled the Nolans, Ripkens and Pete Rose stickers/cards put them in ebay lots and threw away the rest. It would 3-4x my money, but wasnt really worth the effort I imagine.

If these are factory bundles...they might be for vending machines...which might interest a few people if left untouched and still wrapped.

Also, in closer year reference, those 1980 or 1981 Topps Big things...whatever they are called...and the scratch offs...sell for less then packs did then.

But at least the 83 has Boggs...not sure without looking if Sandberg or Gwynn is in them.

    Clear Skies,

I remember opening those stickers as a kid and thinking how cool those foil all stars were. It took the cards a whole 10 years before they starting using foil for "premium" issues.

    I have the 1982 and 83 Topps stickers set(s).

The main 1982 set has 260 numbered stickers and had an Album in which they could be mounted (Carter on cover). It includes some "foil" all stars. This set was issued in their own packs, but there is a 48 separate player set of stickers from that year that was inserted in wax packs as a promotion for the main sticker set. They are identical to the main set stickers except the backs advertise the album (this second set is numbered the same as the main set but since smaller involves skip numbering)

The 1983 sticker set numbers 320, again numbered front and back and includes 28 foils. The Album for this set features Jackson.

I think Topps did the stickers sets from 1981 to 1990. In some years, 1990 for example, there was a separate subset which included card board backs (67 card sets to go with regular set of 328). second cardboard backed set also occurred in 1987 to 1989 ( 1987/313...1988/67 and 1989/66)

In 1990 there was also a now fairly expensive set of test Mylar Stickers ( 8) which are tough to find

I don't imagine anyone can give you a price on basically worthless wax without really knowing what they exactly are.

You don't even seem to know what year they are, or confirmed if they are vending cases, know how many bundles in a case or any like information. I know I would pay more for 83 then 82, due to rookies.

I gave you the info I was given... I was told "Sealed Cases" and each case has bundles of 250 of a random sticker, I could not find them on ebay and that is why I was asked

    Sean-

Would you call Carmax and say that you have an old '82 or '83 car in your garage, provide no other information, and demand that someone give you an exact value for your vehicle?

Several people here have provided questions like vending or not, 82 or 83, etc. etc. See if you can get those questions answered.

IF there are active registry builders who don't yet have these cards in 10, then you could probably make some $ by submitting. There are several HOF stickers in those sets. I agree with earlier poster that 83 is better because it has the Ripken. Topps didn't include the Ripken sticker in the 82 set. The foil stickers can sometimes get big $ in 9 or 10, because the surfaces are almost always scratched/impaired.

I like these sets and have a few sitting in binders. They are "mini" stickers, which I hate. They aren't the full size like Topps did in 88 and 89. BUT, the entire front image on the stickers is just a picture without captions etc., so you have a clean nice image. They look good IMO.
