I was just reading about this accident. The pilots were discussing their poor pay and overworked conditions before the crash. The captain had failed prior training tests and was not trained properly on what to due in the case of a shaker stick situation. The shaker stick occurs to notify the pilot of a stall situation and will actually prompt the pilot what to do by its feedback to his input stimulus. He pulled up against the shaker sticks stimuli instead of down and did not increase speed to full which is the proper way to come out of a aerodynamic stall.
The co-pilot, a female, was reportedly making less than 26,000 a year and was waiting tables on her days off to make ends meet.

"The news media reported the crash and the tragic deaths of 50 people but did not mention Wielinski's collection of sports memorabilia."
Nor did they mention that he had a 55" plasma on the wall with a sick surround sound system. Seriously, why would they? Were they supposed to take inventory of all the sh*t that got burned up in his house so the general public could know? Unbelievable...
His wife was interviewed a week or so ago. They salvaged what they could in their home, but everything was covered in jet fuel gel. They kept most of the pieces that were recognizable, even if burnt from what I remember.
