Home Trading Cards & Memorabilia Forum

Very busy, I have a few thousand cards packed and ready for some kids, Free 1st to respond/PM

I put aside cards that I have no use for, and I have a box full of about 1,000 90/91 skybox, some late 80's early 90's Baseball traded sets. The key players have been taken out, maybe 5 or so per set. Anyway they are free on my dime, I just don't have time to get them to a local hospital/children.

If you can find a good home reply, I'm heading to Post Office in an hour. I would prefer you give them to some young kids to play with.

Thanks,

  • I shipped them slow shipping, said 5 days, so they are on their way!! Again nothing special, just something fun for some kids. Almost 10 pounds whatever that equates to in cards. Good mix of basketball and baseball.

    Take care,

  • LMK if you get any more of these commons. My sister and brother in law are teachers in the inner city and I give them my excess commons and minor stars. They use the as incentives and rewards for their students.

Fabfrank...if you are ever in the Chicago/Milwaukee area let me know as I have thousands I can give you for the kids in the inner city. I will even include stars with them. I used to own a card shop and I have easily a half million cards sitting in a garage (safely stored of course) that I woulndt mind donating to a cause like this. Perhaps if you are at the National this week I would be happy to bring some to you on Saturday!! image
I am on a budget and I am not afraid to use it!!
  • mccardguy- Thanks for the offer. I won't be at the National, but I may be in Chicago in the fall and I can get in touch with you when I get there. This isn't an organized charity or cause. They are both teachers in the South Bronx and it can be "difficult" to motivate the kids to do well. When the kids do their homework or pass a test, they are allowed to take cards from 5000 count box I give her. Again, thanks for the offer and I hope we meet soon.
