Contest time for Some Die Chips.

Im at 0,939 right now and closing fast on 1,000 Enter now to win a cool die chip of my choosing. I have 100s of extras so winner will get a nice Die chip of a few nice ones to start their chip off the ole block collection.

To open this up a bit further predict the following.

a.) The week of the 1000th chip being entered.
b.) The day of the 1000th chip being entered
c.) The year of the 1000th chip.
d.) The denomination of the 1000th chip
and e.) the mint mark of the 1000th chip.

Winner of each area will win some cool chips. 1 winner only . If you win 2 you get 1 prize and the 2nd person to guess on the other one will win a prize. (IE if you win A and C you will claim your prize for A and the 2nd winner on C will win also.).

Here is an 1857 seated quarter with die chip in shield center. Don't know if you have that one listed.

Most will say no not worth keeping collecting unless you like them . $ wise no not worth alot over if anyone is really paying over. face or numismatic value of the coin to start with. On keys and semi keys I would think its seen as a ( - ) and would hurt the value of the coin due to the eye sore it might bring. Me I love them and collect them actively. Cant get enough. Its simply impossible to know all areas. Anyone who says that is full of you know what. Theres always something new or something small people collect. Trail dies, Die chips or cracks, Full steps or full columns ,even the position of the mintmark on older coins.

if you ever want to dump a lot of my kinda coins let me know. But if your interested in collecting these I say go for it. If theres no flip value then you should be able to get alot cheap. and thus build your collection faster and better. Ultimate cherrypick

I for one truly appreciate your passion for collecting in this area of numismatics. They may one day take on a following again and you will be ahead of the game. Remember BIE die chips at one time were quite collected actively.
