What kind of premium if any do the Erskine and Roe error cards bring?

Thanks for the info. And, I don't know if the Erskine and Roe error cards carry a premium or not.

There is no premium for the different variations. The most common would be the change in statistics.....

Frankly, I expected that by now a premium would have asserted itself for the Roe and Erskine "black loop" variations, but that has not materialized. It may be that there are just not that many "master set" collectors for 1954 Bowman.

I'm still trying to acquire all the variations of the 1954 bowman baseball set. According to 2011 SCD catalog, there are 38 cards with two variations, and 2 cards with three variations. This includes the #66 Wiliams/Piersall.

Am I correct in this (40 cards have variations)?

Edited: I researched an old thread, sadly the link that was on it no longer exists.
The writer was an old member here, I'll see if he still has it.

41 is the correct answer. 40 variations plus the Williams/Piersall.

Some do command a premium over others at least as far as the registry is concerned.

2011 lists only 40 and includes #66 as well as Erskine and Roe with black loops. Three of the 40 have three variations and not just two. PSA shows the master set on its registry site as only 38 and leaves off the Erskine and Roe. Are there several others?

I have one if you need it, card 220, Fielding average 985 990 I think that's the variation.

It's Hobie Landrith. Shoot me a PM with your address and it's yours. It would grade a 6.

    I have 85 and 103 also. the 103 is VG/EX the 85 a 6.

    Card 85 is 'a' from Doug's list the 103 is 'b'

For some reason I thought 220 was a variation. I thought I even had one graded at one time.

    memory...........

David ... I am not familiar with the set, but here are the pages from Donovan's Baseball Card Variations book from 2009:

The curious thing is that the list Doug posted and the PSA registry master set list don't include the Erskine with loops or the Roe with loop.

Judge that's because the PSA master list is an ongoing thing. It continues to grow
    as members request additions.

    Good for you.
