Lots of neat coins. Your off center 1972 Lincoln cent got me to thinking. Has there ever been a major error coupled with a variety? I mean, how cool would it be to find an off center 1972 doubled die cent! And, I don't mean like finding a 1914-D clipped planchet cent but how about an error 1922-no D cent?

A variety with an error. Just thinking... >>
Thanks. The only one I have come across are major errors on a type 2 wide AM 2000 cent. I have off centers, large broadstruck, an off center with Indent, and a Double Struck.
Fred would be a better one to ask about the major ones.

I know of (2) clipped 1971-D FEV Ike Varieties. The FEV (Friendly Eagle Variety) is considered to be a major Variety in Ikes. Also, a small batch (there are at least (5) known) sintered planchet 1972-P Type 2 Ikes (March edition). The 72-P Type 2 Variety is considered by many to be the "King of Ikes".
Some of the nicest errors ive seen in a while most too rich for my blood. there might be one i thinking can i afford. May have to do some calculations.
