Question Regarding VCP and its Average

Thank you to anyone in advance.
If there are no sales within the last twelve months, but a half dozen over the last three years, does it give an "average" using ONLY the most recent sale?
The reason I asked was I recall seeing a VCP posting a while ago that had one sale 14 months old, one 15 months old and about four others over the remaining past three years and the "average" listed was the amount of the last recorded sale. I remember that the question was asked but the poster of the average was not sure as he just cut and paste.
Thank you,
Paul

For example, I recently won this Cy Young T206 Cy Young card from Sterling Auctions and this is what VCP shows:
Latest Auction Prices for: SGC 20 - Average Price: $273.50
Listing Type: All Auction Buy It Now Best Offer Show: 2550100All Date Auction Link Price Extra
6/23/11 Sterling Sports Auction $222.00
11/30/10 eBay $325.00
2/14/10 eBay $324.99
If you did deeper Sterling Auction Link you will see that while my final winning bid was $222, I actually paid $255.30 after the buyer's premium. (S/H and insurance were extra).
I think VCP should show what the final price was in order to reflect more accurate data. I know I figure in the BP when I put my bids in on the auction houses and would think everyone else does too.

The averages are never going to be perfect. Just think of this very common situation on ebay; same card, one auction has free shipping, the other charges $7. On a higher dollar card this is neglible. But on a hundred dollar card that's 7% which is quite significant when trying to determine an "accurate" average.
<< <i>On another VCP topic, I think they should show the price with the juice added for auction houses.

It is a feed problem on the auction software side and we are in the process of trying to get it fixed.
Regarding my question, is my assumption correct (the average is the last sale if the last sale is more than 12 months old)?
The reason I ask is that the 14 month old sale was around $200 and was given as the average while the 15 month old sale (one month prior) was for $20 more.
Thanks,

Thanks Bobby! I had a feeling you might show up on this post
Latest Auction Prices for: SGC 60 - Average Price: $82.00
Listing Type: Show:
Date Auction Link Price Extra
6/23/11 Sterling Sports Auction $94.30
The average pice is still off but more importantly the actual price is correct. I paid $82 before juice.
