Honest Ebay Buyers...There are some out there...Good Karma!!!

So I sold this Ed Roush Auto awhile back for $34.00. Shipped it on the 20th of June. One of the few cards I sold this year. Anyway the Buyer and I went back and forth and I refunded his money a couple weeks back, because he never recieved the card.

I did refund him, and explained that if it showed up to do the right thing and let me know etc. I think I used the word Karma. Anyway I get this email today.

Dear hotcardcollection,

Michael - I just picked up my mail at the post
office and the Edd Roush autograph has been delivered. I don't understand
why it took over a month to get here - it was postmarked June 20. I'll
gladly pay for the item. Can you do another invoice or do you want me to
mail payment? Phil

What a great guy, and what an honest one. I always value people like this, the good guys.

Just wanted to share.

It's nice to hear of an eBay buyer that isn't a lowlife peasant.

I had an '83 Topps vending box shipped in June that I'll be happy to pay for (again) if it ever shows up.

I had the exact same experience with an ebay buyer over an old Budweiser sign that I sold back in 2001.

I also had the flip experience of this topic. I set up snipe to win an auction while I was away on vacation. I was in contact with the seller when it was listed before I went away. We agreed if I had won the auction. I could wait to pay until I got back since I didn't have net service where I was vacationing. When I got home the card was waiting for me in the mail. I hadn't even fired up the PC to see if I even won the auction. OC I paid as soon as I fired up the PC and made the payment. That was one trusting seller because it was a 300+ dollar card too!

On that note, I just had a guy send me a $2000 guitar amplifier this weekend while I was on vacation, before I gave him any payment at all.

What a great guy, and what an honest one. I always value people like this, the good guys.

Your opinion of him prior to this probably wasn't the same, so you might want to check your blocked bidder list.
It's easy to get the feeling you're being scammed in a situation like that, but of course you refunded because you had to.
You accompanied the refund with the Karma comment hoping it would cause him to reconsider what you probably thought he already did.
An honest person doesn't need to be reminded to do the right thing if it shows up later. If and when it shows up he'll do the right thing.
He was honest when he said he didn't get it, and he was honest when he told you received it.
The card just needed to show up to prove to you he was an honest and great guy.
