hierarchy of newer rookie cards..

Maybe someone can come up with which rookie cards are the best/most desired of some of the newer cards.

Can anyone place in order, what cards are the most desired for CC Sabathia? image

I feel that his best rookie (or first year card) is his

    1999 Topps Traded Certified Autograph

A VERY distant 2nd and 3rd are his

    1999 Bowman Chrome
    1999 Topps Traded Chrome

Of course his 1999 Bowman Chrome Refractor or International Refractor (even rarer) are OK choices too but not as good as the autographed one.

For me, autographed cards from a player's "1st year for cards" gets top rank, then any low numbered parallels (Gold Refractors, etc).

So, for Sabathia, I agree, the 1999 Topps Traded Certified Auto. After that, maybe the 1999 Bowman Chrome Gold Refractor (#/25)?

However, the 99 Gold Refractor (if you can find it) will cost you a whole heck of a lot more than his 1999 Topps Traded Certified Auto.

That 1999 Topps Traded set at one time looked to become the greatest set of all time (I joke).

    Adam Dunn
    Alfonso Soriano
    CC Sabathia
    Carl Crawford
    Josh Hamilton
    AJ Burnett
    Mike Mulder
    Pat Burrell

    Similar question.

I am trying to figure out what Mariano Rivera card to get for my rookie card collection. I can't stand the look of the Bowman card. Should any of the minor league cards take priority?

I agree that the card is horrible but it is the rookie to own.

Easily the 1999 Topps Traded Auto for CC. The Rivera, well, it's the 92 Bowman hands down, no priority except an IP signature on it.
