1970 Topps Baseball (with Scans)

Hi all!
I am new to this board and just recently became interested in collecting again. By way of background, I went to my first card show in 1979 at the age of 9 and bought every low-to-mid-grade Aaron, Mays and Mantle I could afford. I subscribed to the Baseball Hobby News. In the early-to-mid '80's, I bought cases of Topps and Fleer baseball convinced that they would make me a millionaire in 25-30 years time. Well, of course, that didn't happen!
In retrospect, the smartest purchase I made was at the National Show at the old Penta Hotel in 1980 or 1981. I paid $9 for an 1970 unopened cello pack. It was packaged in a cardboard box with a picture window and it said "33 Baseball Cards". A pretty big pack. These card were beautifully preserved in a way that I had ever seen in old unopened wax packs I purchased at the time. I was lucky enough to pull a Seaver and a Lou Brock.
Now as I look at these boards and Ebay and other assorted auctions, I see that even commons of the era deemed Gem Mint can fetch hundreds of dollars. This prompted me to find the shoebox where these beautiful specimens were stored for 30 years. The gloss is there, the corners are sharp. The worst you could probably say is that there are centering issues. Frfom what I have read there seems to some variance as to how much leeway is given to slightly off-center cards.
That is why I decided to post some scans. The whole idea of sending cards away to be graded scares me a bit, I must say. Would any of you have an opinion whether my cards are potential 10s? However. the scans do not do them much justice. I am attaching the scans as files - I am not sure how to post them so that they are images in the body of the post itself. Thank you in advance.

<< <i>Thanks so much Jeff! If anybody wants to see more, like I said I have about 30. I am going to try to figure out how to work the scan feature! >>
Most people use direct links to post scans, instead of attaching the image at the bottom. You will need an image-hosting website like Photobucket. It's free and pretty easy to use. I'm happy to help!
Welcome to the boards. They sure do look nice, but from these scans they do not look like Gem Mint. I would say your story is similar to where I was about 3 years ago. Cards that I thought were in unreal condition for the age, turned out to be PSA 6-8. Before you send them in for grading and spend the money on shipping and grading I think it would be important to get more on hands information.
Good luck,
Brian

Also, scan your cards with a dark background, or scan them with the scanner lid open, and that will make the edges easier to see in the scan. Good luck with your grades!
For the sake of argument, if the Seaver and Brock were 8s, are they worth grading?
I am pretty sure the answer is no for the commons?
Thanks for the photobucket tip Jeff!
Being disappointed with your initial submission is an initiation around here.
