If you are going to get them authenticated and they pass, I'd do a full LOA on the painting and don't put the sticker on it at all. The full LOA will contain a picture of the item so it will be obvious it's the same.

On the ball, I'd just get it authenticated, wouldn't worry about a grade, especially if it costs extra to get a grade.

Thanks for the advice. Since the fee for authenticating the Mantle is > $50, it get a full LOA for free. Thanks also for the auto ball words. The grading fee is like $50 I think. May not be worth it if the grade does not bring a value > than the fee. Meatloaf

In some cases, the grade will add to the value, but on your ball, I don't think so because of the following:

On the K and Y in Mickey, and the M in Mantle, you see how the signature is not fully covering the ball (in other words, it's not solid, there are some light areas where the writing implement didn't contact or fully adhere to the surface), IMO, that will detract from the grade. Also, what I call feathering of the N in Mantle will detract as well.

Thank you for this info. I had not clue on the feathering; however, after you pointed it out, it is clear the signature is not "strong/bold" on those parts. Meatloaf
