this is a poke at our prior discussions regarding the gentleman who caught the Jeter ball rebound - remember, it hit his Dad first
obviously, it's a greater piece of sentiment than anything else, but what if the guy tears it up during his career and that ball becomes substantially more valuable? hence, the "Missed payday".
Hample also runs a blog and travels from park to park chasing baseballs, so this is nothing new to him.
apparently, he'd prefer to soak in a tub full of them.
