Price consistency among TPG?

Doing a little homework before the National with the help of VCP. Check out the price comparisons based on grades.
1954 Hank Aaron

1. 225. 239. 203
2. 296. 275. 280
3. 399. 373. 387
4. 533. 436. 449
5. 684. 732. 700
6. 983. 1071. 855
7. 2220. 2099. 1626

1952 B Mickey Mantle
Psa. Sgc. Bvg
1. 257. 225. 236
2. 374. 366. 425
3. 460. 460. 475
4. 677. 613. 619
5. 915. 752. 761
6. 1084. 1026. 1026

I've done this for about 20 cards mostly mantle and Aaron. It is shocking how close the prices realized are for these three TPG companies. True this is for mostly low to mid grade cards.

That 5% could easily be explained by premiums or discounts for centering that are within grading guidelines. The 54 Aaron you mentioned shows a VCP average of under 700 in 5 grade, but I know that card routinely sells for 800-900 if its centered. All that being said, I do believe PSA sells for higher, I'm just not always sure VCP is as reliable a source as some folks believe it is because of the huge swings in prices due to centering that VCP ignores.

But without vcp how long would it take you to put together a GUIDE? Vcp is awesome when used in this method.
